I spent the morning in the yard. My goal was to get the front and back yard mowed. I got the front done. Took forever because the grass was too long and wet (that's what she said) and the mower kept getting clogged. I finally finished it and went for the edger. It broke. I tried and tried to fix it but it kept breaking. So, what does any normal person do when their edger is broken?? Of course! They pick up a hatchet and chop down 3 trees!! I got a blister, but it was a really good workout.
Then I remembered that the 3 trees in front needed to have some branches trimmed, so I did that. I then tried to haul the lawn mower up the side stairs to the backyard. I'm strong, but not that strong. So, needless to say, I didn't finish everything I had set out to do this morning, but I'm sweaty and tired so I must have done some good.

Is anyone else interested to know how she managed to take a picture of both of her hands?
you put the rest of us to shame! All I did today was keep 3 kids alive and fed.
I had to take a picture of both my hands when I was making marshmallows. I had to balance it on the counter hang my hands at a good distance and press down with my chin. It was hard.
I can honestly say I am 28 and have never ever mowed a lawn. It looks hard and gross.
Sounds to me like you're a pioneer woman!
Getting the lawn mower up the stairs sounds like fun!.....or just impossible.....and the lawn edger....I can relate to that. Last year mine made me so mad I just chucked it in the garbage can! But after all the complaining isn't it gratifying when it's all done and looks nice.
you're such a guy
Wow woman, you are an animal! Did your back kill you the next day? Seriously, I can't wait to see your new abode!
