I just got off of the phone with my sister and she asked what we did on Tuesday (that was just two days ago you know).
My response: "Uhhhhhh, ummmmm, mmmmm, Iiiiiiiii can't remember."
I am HORRIBLE at remembering what we did on vacation (even when we are STILL on that particular vacation).

actually, I vote you don't leave. Cancel the offer on your other home, make an offer in that neighborhood you like and I'll save all my pennies so we can come visit once a year. How is this a bad plan?
