Andy and I went up to Vermont for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We missed the peak of the leaf colors by 1 week! We should have hit it just perfectly but they had a storm a few days before we arrived which knocked all of the leaves off. It was still quite lovely and we had a very nice, relaxing time. It's hard to even remember when it was just the two of us. I know it happened, but I sure don't remember much of it. My advice to newlyweds: Enjoy MANY years alone before you have kids. This was our one and only anniversary before we became of family of 3.....and then quickly a family of 4. Not exactly the way I would have planned it, but we love and are grateful that we have Samantha and Alex.

Old Skool
I haven't had a whole lot to blog about lately (Andy's finishing school, the weather blows, kids need naps, etc.), so today we are going old school.

We stayed at the former home of Norman Rockwell.
It had this great old covered bridge and church.
Kind of a mouthful to say, but we loved it.
This is the back of the house with the leaves all covering the ground.

The Inn is in Arlington, VT. We drove up from Jersey through western CT and MA on US 7, which was absolutely beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend the drive. Coming home, we crossed over into New York, then came down I-87 which runs through the Catskills. The colors there were gorgeous, but Kristi's Loveridge blood had taken over, and she was passed out in the passenger seat.
Did you guys know people in Vermont, or did you go there just because? I love the pics....although they strangely remind me of the movie "Funny Farm" with Chevy Chase.
Also, tomorrow I'm expecting a post on how the weather blows....with your sense of humor it should be freakin' HI-larious.
Also, you haven't changed a bit since those pics were taken....your still the same skinny little biotch you always were.
Love ya.
Ahhh - this single days. I can barely remember.........
Hmm, Staci and I each went from a family of 3 to a family of 6. There was no chance for a family of 2. We were lucky to get to take a honeymoon 20 months into the marriage.
