Today we met Andy at work so we could run over to Costco and get flu shots. The kids already got theirs so it was Andy's and my turn. After the shots we did our Costco shopping and decided to go to dinner. We chose Tucanos and I was amazed at the quantity of meat my kids can consume when they want. Samantha was asking for everything and tried it all. I was so proud. Alex was a little less enthusiastic but ate a ton of my pork and beef brisket. The meat was all very good but the beans and rice and cheese bread were CRAP compared to what you eat in Brazil. I think the trip to Brazil ruined me for eating that stuff in the states. It's just not the same!
And another random thought......when did it become okay to get excited about gas falling under $2.00 a gallon? That is just sad, but so typical of these days. I remember when I was a kid my dad RUNNING out to get gas before it went all the way up to a dollar!!! Heaven forbid!! I miss the good ol' days.

Yes, I filled up today and it felt good to see the $1.99 price. I remember when I was a teenager and traveling to Yellowstone with my parents and gas was 48 cents a gallon up there. We thought that was a total rip-off because it was about 25 cents back home.
Oh man, I can't get my kids to even touch meat! Too bad for us. But, good for you! We'll just add that to the list of things that your kiddies need to teach my kiddies!
When did you go to Brazil? (Was that where Andy served a mission? Or perhaps you served one? I don't know who did and didn't go these days.) If it was a tourism trip you need to tell my wife how wonderful it was because I'd love to go back, but she doesn't see Brazil as a fun tourism destination.
As far as gas prices go, I'm still excited when it is under $2.50 so you won't get much sympathy from me.
Yes Lee, Andy went on his mission to Florianopolis Brazil and we went back there a year ago for our 5 year anniversary. It was GREAT!!! You really need to take your wife. We also went to Rio and I LOVED it there. I would go back any day.
Hi, I LOVED catching up on your family. It doesn't feel like its been so long since we have seen you. I can't wait to keep up with you via your great blog. So fun!!
