I know I'm going to regret saying this in a few months, but I am SO sick of this heat and ready for a nice cool down! Not that cool....not winter....not snow, but a nice LONG fall would be perfect. Knowing my luck, we'll get snow next week and it'll last until April!!!

Hear, hear. I thought this exact same thing today, only my thoughts were more along the lines of "I can't wait for the winter so that my kids don't escape outdoors ever bloomin' second of the day....and want to go outside when the kids' get on the bus and thereby wanting to play with friends at 8:30 in the morning.....and I don't have to squeeze my arse into shorts anymore.....ya know, those kinda thoughts.
I firmly believe it should only snow 1 week prior and 1 week after Christmas. Otherwise, it should stay a nice cool indian summer!
I could take fall for 11 months out of the year. The 12th month should be a December winter with a little snow for Christmas.
Ahhh - be careful what you wish for! I'll be cursing you if we get an early winter because of you!
