Boys are Stinky!

Potty training Alex is proving much harder than I had anticipated. I know that Samantha was ridiculously easy to potty train and I was prepared for Alex to be a normal kid, but man this is frustrating!! He's had more accidents in the past 2 weeks than Samantha has had in over a year. He does have many victories and I have been proud of him a lot but when he does so well only to suddenly have a big poop sitting in his underwear, it gets frustrating. I know the poor kid is trying his best and I know that yelling doesn't help with this kind of thing so I am just trying to be patient. And may the gods of clean underwear smile down on us in the near future!!

I can't tell you how many pairs of underwear I just striaght up threw away because of poo. I can't stand to clean that crap up, so in the garbage can they go. I figure I can just buy more....not very economical, I know, but its sure of a he** lot more sanitary!

Yikes. I'm really glad we aren't in that stage. Maybe if I wait till Clark is 5 to really start potty training him I'll avoid the poo in the underwear thing. Maybe.....

Kristi,
I still have Mary in pull-ups because I can't stand those fun accidents! I just figure she'll figure it out eventually. Good Luck. :)

Thank heavens for pull-ups! It was so easy potty training Ali...I fear for the future. Seriously, throw those suckers out when it's bad, I'll buy him a 3 pack of underwear so you don't have to deal with that "crap" (ha, ha, I'm so hilarious!)

Yah, yesterday my middle son proudly said, "I peed my sheets and you get to wash them." Can you send those "clean underwear" gods my way ;0).

Thank you all for your comments! It's so good to know I'm not alone in this crazy thing we call motherhood. I don't use pull-ups for Alex because he KNOWS he can pee in them and not get it everywhere. I use the big boy underwear and he seems to handle that better. Just bought him Spiderman and Transformers undies yesterday at Kohl's. They're so gawdy!
